Open air patio with the backdrop of a country small-town train station. A couple of outside screen tvs showing the match. A selection of at least 30+ beers I saw. And choice of bar food or a dozen food carts and bikes. I may have been the only foreigner there that night but I laughed and jokes with the others there like I was a local. Why not 5stars you might ask, well. It was after a rainy day and the bugs where out. So it wasn't their fault but I rate in the entire area. But I will be going back this weekend bugs or not.
1 star for the quality level :D, but 5 star for the local experience. This is where the local blue collar Thai's go for a beer garden. Soccer games when EPL or Thai games are on. Get the beer from the server and she will pop into the minimart and get it for you, ie, its really cheap :D. food is available from the Train Station outdoor market. So food is really good and cheap. A once a week spot for me when i lived in Lampang. NOTE no cover from the sun, so only a dusk to closing type of place :) Also not too kid friendly. AND the toilet is, lets say, not western women quality levels so I suggest you go to the train station next door, if you are female and need the loo. :)
For tourists 1. self-service ice glasses, 2. Beer, drinks, snacks to buy in the store. 3. Food, you can walk to buy in the next market to eat. 4. The voice announces the call to get on the train clearly. Remember the train number. 5. Male bathroom has no barrier. 6. The female bathroom is in the shop. 7. If you have grilled squid The price might be too expensive. Waiting for fried meatballs would have been ok.
